Wanda (Torchy) Carolyn Lear, 90, of Granite City, IL passed away in her home, surrounded by her family on October 9, 2023.

She was born to the late Thomas William and Beulah (Gunderson) Boyd on May 20, 1933 in Gayville, South Dakota. Wanda was a Registered Nurse, she worked at St. Elizabeth's Hospital and Gateway Regional Medical Center; where she retired from after 33 years. She was devoted to raising and helping children. Her family describes her as the strongest person they knew. She loved to sew, crochet and watch Jeopardy.

She is survived by a daughter: Lynda Cunningham of Granite City, IL; 2 sons: William Lear of Granite City, Terry (Ellen Ruth) Lear of Collinsivlle, IL; 13 grandchildren: Lynda (David) Scheer, Amanda Cunningham, Keri Will, Thomas (Charlene) Lear, Elise (Justin) Rayborn, James (Sasha) Lear, Alexis Cunningham, Eden Rayborn, Gus Raybron, James Lear II, Henson Lear, Remington Lear, Titan Conger; and a brother; Daniel Boyd of Springfield, IL

Besides her parents, Wanda is preceded in death by a sister: Joyce Clement; and 3 brothers: David Boyd, Gerald Boyd and Max Boyd.

A Memorial Visitation will be held Monday, October 16, 2023 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Wojstrom Funeral Home and Crematory.
