Virginia Lee Boxdorfer, 86, of Granite City, IL died on Monday, September 25, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on November 16, 1936 in Granite City, IL to John Everett DeHart and Mary Ann (Swiatek) DeHart.

Virginia married Charles Boxdorfer in St. Louis, MO on January 12, 1974.

The loving wife was active in the Girl Scouts of America when she was younger.  She was an artistic person who enjoyed reading, painting, puzzles and drawing.  Virginia also enjoyed going shopping.

Virginia is survived by her husband, 2 daughters:  Angela Milton of St. Louis, Mo and Becky Cedor of Granite City, IL; 4 grandchildren:  Jessica, Ian, Kyle and Cody and several great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Virginia is preceded in death by a sister, JoAnn Spohr.

A private burial will be held at a later date.
