Timothy P. Carney, 70, of Edwardsville, IL and formally of Granite City, IL died on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at La Bella of Edwardsville Nursing Center after battling cancer for a number of years.

He was born on October 7, 1954 in St. Louis, MO to Richard T. Carney, Sr and Alyne Rose (Berghofer) Carney.

Timothy was a former member of the Granite City Moose Lodge.  He enjoyed playing cards with his friends:  Donald, Pat and Paul.  Timothy also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Timothy is survived by 5 brothers:  Richard (Deborah) Carney of Maryville, IL, Tom (Elizabeth) Carney of Granite City, Kevin (Rose) Carney of Chicago, IL, Jeffery (Theresa) Carney of Pontoon Beach, IL and Patrick (Gabriella) Carney of Granite City and 11 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
