Sharon Jean Mize, 74, of Granite City, IL died on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

She was born on October 5, 1951 in St. Louis, MO to Godfrey and Wilma (nee:  Tullock) Allen

Sharon married Michael James Mize and he preceded her in death in 1975.

The loving mother and grandmother retired from American Steel after several years of service.  Sharon loved cars and she worked on her own cars.  She also worked on her own home as she enjoyed doing things herself.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Sharon is survived by her mother, Wilma Allen; 2 daughters:  Michelle (Larry) Hebold of Bridgeton, MO and Kimberly Mize of Granite City; a niece, Cheryl Davis; 8 grandchildren:  James Mize, Robby Harper, Ronny (Alexis) Harper, George W. Holliday, Jr, Timothy Holliday, Mary Mize, Tabitha Mize and Bobbie K. Holliday and 16 great grandchildren.  Also surviving are a brother, Dennis (Kathy) Allen of Pensacola, FL; 2 sisters:  Sandy Kalips of St. Charles, MO and Jo Ann (James) Stamper of Granite City and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4 pm until 7 pm on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory in Granite City, IL.  The funeral service will be at 11 am on Monday, November 3, 2025 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon, IL.
