Russell A. Irvin, 62, of Wood River, IL died on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

He was born on May 15, 1961 in Eldorado, IL to James M. Irvin, Sr and Delores (Crane) Irvin.

Russell was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his family and his many friends.  He also enjoyed fishing and playing pool.

Besides his father, Russell is survived by a daughter, Monique Sheff of Pekin, IL; 2 sons:  Dustin Freytag of Carlinville, IL and Chris Sheff of Pekin, IL; 7 grandchildren; a brother, James Irvin, Jr of Godfrey, IL; 2 sisters:  Linda Cox of East Alton, IL and Tina Poleet of Chandler, AZ; step-mother, Carrol Irvin of Yuma AZ and a brother in law, Russell Cox of Wood river, IL.

Russell is preceded in death by his mother; 3 grandchildren and a brother, Charles Irvin.
