Rosalie Sumner 89, of Breese, formerly of Granite City passed away Sunday, May 17, 2026 at her home surrounded by family.  She was born May 7, 1937 in St. Louis, MO to Anthony and Susie (Tulo) Cintirino.  She married David L. Sumner September 14, 1954 in St. Louis; he preceded her in death August 21, 2010.

She is survived by her daughter, Theresa (Chuck) Hansen of Breese; son, David (Debra) Sumner of Sanford, FL; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren two special nieces and a nephew, Susan (Ron) Borth and Toni Link and Kevin Link.

She was preceded in death by her husband; sons, Michael A. Sumner and Joseph A. Sumner; two brothers, Sam and Tony Cintrino and four sisters, Frances McGannon, Mary Roam, Freda Spies and Suzy Faulkenbeury.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life Memorial Visitation, Sunday June 7,2026 from 2 pm until the time of services at 3 pm at Hope Lutheran Church in Granite City.
