Robert Allen Schmerbauch, 84, of Troy, IL died on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.

He was born on April 15, 1941 in Highland, IL to Charles and Julia (nee:  Sutton) Schmerbauch.

Robert was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy, IL.  He was a truck driver and a farmer. Robert was also a NASCAR fan.

The loving brother and uncle is survived by a several nieces and nephews; a brother, Jack Schmerbauch of Troy and  a sister,  Dorothy Schmerbauch of St. Louis.

Besides his parents, Robert is preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Craig;  8 brothers:  Charles "Chuck" Schmerbauch, Joe Schmerbauch, Dan Schmerbauch, Art Schmerbauch, George Schmerbauch, Roy Schmerbauch, Mark Schmerbauch and Erwin Schmerbauch  and 4 sisters:  Pauline Lewis, Blanch Nix, Vi Schmeig and  Ella Prendiville.
