Robert D. Ostresh, 72, of Granite City, IL died on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

He was born on December 23, 1952 in Granite City to Edwin and Virginia (nee: Courtney) Ostresh.

Robert married Tricia Tuttle on July 24, 1993 in Las Vegas, NV.  He served his country in the United States Army with two tours in Vietnam and received two purple Hearts.  He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, DAV and AMVETS.  Robert enjoyed boating, camping, hunting and the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife Tricia Tuttle-Ostresh of Granite City; daughter, Dawn Renee Reed; son, Christopher Ostresh of Chula Vista, CA; grandson, Stephen Ostresh;  brothers, Edwin Jr. (Heidi) Ostresh of Granite City, John (Mitra) Ostresh of Encinitas, CA,  and Leonard Dollins (Beth) of Granite City and sister, Marilyn (Eric, Sr) Hecker of Jerseyville. Also surviving are 6 nieces:  Riley, Jennifer, Kara, Stephanie, Sarah and Amy; nephew, Eric, Jr and several great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William "Billy" Ostresh and sister, Kathleen Anglin.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of services at 4 p.m. at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory in Granite City on Sunday, August 17, 2025.  Burial will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with military honors on Monday at 9:30 am.  Online guestbook available at www.wojstrom.com.
