Robert Francis Black, 65, of Granite City, IL, formally of Raymond, IL died on Friday, December 29, 2023 at St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond Heights, Mo.

He was born on November 13, 1958 in Alton, IL to John Black and Thelma Sellers.

Robert married Barbara Clark and she preceded him in death.

The loving father and grandfather enjoyed video games, listening to audio books and visiting Washington D.C.  He was a huge fan of the Harry Potter books and movies. He was loved by many women.

Robert is survived by a daughter, Christina (David) Peterson of Granite City and 3 grandchildren:  Shawna (Zac Holliday) Mize, Christian (Aleigha Thomason) Graves and Lydia Graves.

Besides his wife and parents, Robert is preceded in death by a son, Christopher Logan.

A memorial visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory in Granite City, IL. Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at a later date.
