Ricky Gene Sanders 66, of Granite City passed away Tuesday May 19, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born May 9, 1960 in Marble Hill, MO.  He married Vicky Donohue June 25, 2000 in Edwardsville.  Ricky worked as a Maintenance Tech at Kraft Foods for 26 years.

Ricky loved interacting and spending time with friends, family and his dogs.  He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, building and fixing things.  He had a great love for the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Vicky Sanders of Granite City; mother, Martha (Carlton) Sanders; daughter, Samantha Sanders of Granite City; son Richard (Melodi) Warren of Granite City; two grandchildren, Beau Warren and Zoey Cook and several siblings.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur Sanders and two brothers.
