Ricky Joe Collison, Jr, 52 passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024 in Granite City, IL.

He was born on July 11, 1972 in St. Louis, MO to Ricky Joe Collison, Sr and Bonnie (Turner) Collison.

Ricky married Jeanne Gartzke in Edwardsville, IL on December 8, 2000.

The loving husband, father and grandfather was a breeder of Pomeranian dogs.  Ricky enjoyed fishing, especially taking his grandchildren fishing and spending time with his family.  He was also a music lover and especially enjoyed listening to Elvis.

Ricky is survived by his wife, mother; a sister, Angela (Mike) Master of Granite City; 3 daughters:  Danielle Carpenter of Granite City, Natasha Gartzke of Elmhurst, IL and Brandy Collison of Granite City;  sons:  Eric Bee of Granite City, Joshua Melton of Granite City and Justin Melton and his significant other, Makayla Easley, of Granite City.

Also surviving are 8 grandchildren:  Chase Gartzke, Chloe DeClue, Straton Carpenter, Carson Collison, Courtney Crump, Charleigh Crump, Wyatt Blackwelder and Jolene Melton.

Ricky is preceded in death by his father and a brother, Michael Turner.

A memorial visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory in Granite City, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Granite City Pound Pets.
