Patsy "Pat" Buzick 90, of Granite City passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026 at Christian North East Hospital in St. Louis.  She was born September 25, 1935 in Hillsboro, IL to Edward Glenn and Mary (nee: Rogers) Root.  She married Ronald Buzick July 25, 1953 in East St. Louis; he preceded her in death November 26, 2003.

Pat ran Ruth's Dress Shop in Granite City for 20 years, she also worked at Grandpa's and L. E. Smith Jewelers for 18 years, volunteered at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Granite City and was a Walmart greeter from 2011 to 2014.

She is survived by a son, Justin Ryan Buzick of Granite City; three daughters, Denise Gettle of Granite City, Ronette  Dusky of East Alton, Theresa Ray of Salem, MO; step daughter, Marilee Waller of Lake Havasu, AZ; grandchildren, Eric, Shaun, Deron, Kellie, Lance and Abby; 18 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four grandchildren, Bob Jackowski, Derek Powers, Andrea and Jake Ray: brother, Lloyd Edward Root; sister, Ruby Garris and sons in law, George Gettle and Larry Dusky.
