Patricia Sue "Patty Sue" Strauser, 77, of Maryville, IL went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, August 2, 2026.

She was born on August 12, 1948 in Granite City, IL to Charles and Esther (nee:  Papp) Gilmore.

Patricia married the love of her life, Alan Roy Strauser, in Granite City, IL on June 30, 1973.

She was a devoted member of Shiloh Christian Church.  Patty Sue spent many years working as a physical therapy assistant at area nursing homes.  She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and enjoyed her days of crafting, gardening and swimming. To know her was to experience kindness, warmth and a servant's heart.  She had a laugh that would fill the room.  Patty Sue sought to reflect Christ's love in her daily life, extending grace and compassion to everyone she met.  She has left a lasting impression on countless lives.

Patricia is survived by her husband; a daughter, Angela Davis of Maryville; a son, Michael Konuch of Maryville; 3 grandchildren:  Brittany Davis of Maryville, Noah Davis of Maryville and Carlie (Alex) Johnson of Edwardsville; 5 great grandchildren:  Jimmy, Penny, Alex, Emery and Harlow with one on the way and 2 sisters:  Dorothy Gilmore of Collinsville and Rebecca Settlemoir of Granite City.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers:  Richard Gilmore, Larry Gilmore and Charles Gilmore.
