Michael Davis Slaton, 73, of Pontoon Beach, IL died on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.

He was born on October 30, 1950 in Venice, IL to Kenneth and Leah (Craft) Slaton.

Michael married Maria "Kim" Fernandez in Corpus Christi, TX on September 10, 1986.

The loving husband and father enjoyed riding motorcycles and fishing.  He also enjoyed raising all kinds of birds.

Michael is survived by his wife; 2 daughters:  Kristi Slaton of Holiday, FL, and Melanie (Richard) Bays of Royal Lakes, IL; 4 sons:  Michael Slaton, Jr of Holiday, FL, Michael Davis Slaton, Jason Slaton of Granite City, IL and Ryan (Melanie) Slaton of Trenton, IL; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.  Also surviving are a brother, James (P.J.) Dalton of Corpus Christi, TX and 2 sisters:  Phyllis Gunn of Ruma, IL and Marie Roche of Mitchell, IL.

Besides his parents, Michael is preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Slaton; 3 brothers:  Kevin Slaton, Terry Slaton and Leroy Dalton and a sister, Rita Stephens.
