Melissa D. Parker, 52, of Granite City, IL passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026 at Evercare of Stearns in Granite City, IL.

She was born on January 6, 1974 in Granite City, IL to Gary Clay Kirby and Elizabeth (nee:  Parker) Miller.

Melissa is survived by her mother; a daughter, Kimberly Parker of Granite City; a son, Michael Parker of Granite City; step daughter, Cassandra Clark of Granite City; step son, Jeffrey Talley of Belleville; 3 grandchildren:  Jaydyn Talley, Jase Parker and Nevaeh Parker; 2 sisters:  Sabrina (Ricky) K. Rushing of Granite City and Monica (Donald Wanamaker) Sue Miller of Pontoon Beach, IL and former boyfriend, Rodney Talley.

Besides her father, Melissa is preceded in death by a son, Nathan Talley and her step father, Marvin E. Miller.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
