Mary Ann Goode, 80, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 5:12 a.m. Wed. Apr. 10, 2024 at Gateway Regional Medical Center ER in Granite City.

She was born Jul. 28, 1943 in Granite City to the late Floyd & Agnes (Eveland) McGowan.

Mary Ann retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a flat sorter operator after more than 30 years of service.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Denise & Ron Daily; a son: Robert Goode of Granite City; a granddaughter: Brittany (Phillip) Reader of Glen Carbon, IL; 2 great-grandsons: Camden and Beckett Reader; and a sister-in-law: Rosa McGowan of Granite City.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Patrick McGowan Sr. and Thomas McGowan; a niece and nephew; and her beloved dog "Buddy".
