Marion "Don" Hartwick 87, of Highland, IL, formally of Kennett, MO passed away Sunday, May 17, 2026.  He was born November 7, 1938 in Peach Orchard, MO to Marion Ben and Evelyn (Jackson) Hartwick.

Don married Betty June West in Kennett, MO.  She preceded him in death in 2002.

Don loved spending time with his grandkids.  He was a member of Calvary Life Church. Don enjoyed fishing and music, with Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley being his favorite artists.  He was known for being an inventor as he made many bird feeders and was an entrepreneur.  Don loved to entertain with stories and magic tricks.

He is survived by five sons, Perry Hartwick of Granite City, David (Denise) Hartwick of Highland, Bryan (Joan) Hartwick of Granite City, Jeff (Donna) Hartwick of Palm Coast, FL and Tim (Tami) Hartwick of Granite City.  Also surviving are 23 grandchildren:  Jennifer (Jon) Sadowski, Lindsay Hendrix, David Hartwick, Vanessa Hartwick, Nathan (Beth) Hendrix, Jake Hartwick, Zach (Jessica) Hartwick, Damen (Rachel) Hartwick, Erika (Jeremy) Briggs, Alex (R.P.) Phelps, Kaisi (Kyle) Liquori, Devyn Hartwick, Luke (Melanie) Hartwick, Caleb Hartwick and Joshua Hartwick; 29 great grandchildren and 2 sisters:  Joyce Crawford of Old Ripley, IL and Joan Rawls of Kennett, MO.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Betty June (West) Hartwick and a brother, Ronnie Hartwick.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 20, 2026 from 4-7 pm at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory in Granite City where services will be held at 10 am Thursday, May 21, 2026 with the Rev. Mark Maynard officiating. Burial will follow at St John Cemetery, Maryville Rd in Granite City.
