Maria Teresa Rubio Reyes, 54, of Collinsville passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon, IL.  She was born October 19, 1968 in Durango, Mexico.  Maria was member of Iglesia Gran Luz in Washington Park.  If there was anything she loved doing, it was having the Pastor over for coffee.

She is survived by her son, Gerardo Alvarez of Granite City; daughter, Brenda Alvarez of Collinsville; mother, Maria Del Refugio Reyes; granddaughters, Jennifer Alvarez, Ximena Alvarez and Galylea Palacios; two brothers, Noel Rubio and Juan F. Rubio and three sisters, Maria Del Carmen Montez, Guillermina Garza and Cristina Flores.

She was preceded in death by her father, Francisco Rubio Lucero.
