Maria Isabel Erika Huerta, 45, of Pontoon Beach, IL died on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.

She was born on March 27, 1979 in Santa Ana, CA.

Maria married Octavio Huerta in Los Angeles, CA on November 16, 2000.

The loving wife and mother enjoyed shopping, line dancing and Zumba.  Her favorite place to eat was at the Bann Thai Restaurant in Edwardsville. She loved the St. Louis Cardinals and the California Angels baseball teams.

Maria is survived by her husband, Octavio Huerta; father, Pedro Montes; mother, Isabel Guzman; 2 daughters:  Vanessa Huerta and Tatiana Huerta both of Pontoon Beach; 2 sons:  Octavio Huerta, Jr and Santiago Huerta both of Pontoon Beach; 2 brothers:  Mario Cantoran and Jose Montes and a sister, Josefina Montes.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Fairmont City, IL.  Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Belleville, IL.
