Josephine "Jody"Ann (Rallo) Sisson, 86, of Bethalto, IL, peacefully passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024 in St. Louis, MO., surrounded by her family. She was born on January 19, 1938 in Alton, IL., to the late Vincenzo & Josephine (Filardo) Rallo. Both of her parents were immigrants from Italy.

Her early beginnings were rooted on a large farm located in Meadowbrook, IL. She retired as a phone operator after 30 years from AT&T (Illinois Bell). Once retired, she used her cooking skills at a local Senior Citizen Center, in KY. She loved being a mother, going camping with her children and cooking dishes for her family & friends that were inspired by her Italian roots. Her love for gardening, yard saling/Goodwill shopping, reading the good books that her daughter, Anne would send to her or watching the "Days of our Lives" stood the test of time. She also loved doing crossword and/or jigsaw puzzles. If it was 10:00 a.m., on a weekday, you could more than likely find her watching the "Price is Right" game show with her handsome son, Jimmy.

Jody & several of her childhood friends including Joy Lamar (friends since 1st grade), Velda Taylor & Buzzetta "Buzzy" LeBlanc would often fellowship with each other at the local Eagles Nest or Geno 140 Restaurants.

She is survived by her daughter, Anne (Erik Tierrney) Renarde of ME and son, Jimmy Stutzman of IL. With the marriage to John Sr.; came son, John R. (Cindy) Sisson Jr. of VA; daughter, Karen Sisson of IL; granddaughter, Jamie (Darrick) Lemaster; grandson, Brooks Beaty of VA; grandson, Joshua Ramirez of CO and her granddaughter, Abigail (Ethan) Sherrard of VA. Her brother Joe Rallo brought a nephew, Joe (Shirley) Rallo of AL and a niece Terry (Kevin) Clowers of IL; brother Tommy Rallo brought three nephews: Mike (Charlene) Rallo of GA, Tim Rallo of IL and Jeff (Sheri) Rallo of IL as well as two nieces: Lynn (David) Grotefendt of IL and Tina Bratten of IL. She was blessed to have had 8 great-nephews, 5 great-nieces as well as 7 great-grandchildren and another one due August 2024.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Sisson Sr; one daughter, Lori Stutzman of IL; one son, Chris Stutzman of CO; two brothers and two sister-n-laws, Joe (Judy) Rallo of IL and Gaetano "Tommy" (Madeline) Rallo of IL., as well as two nieces,Terry (Kevin) Clowers of IL and Shirley (Joe) Rallo of AL; three nephews; Kevin (Terry) Clowers of IL, David (Lynn) Grotefendt of IL and Tim Rallo of IL.

In celebration of her life, family & friends are invited to attend a mass service at the Our Lady, Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 132 Butcher Street, Bethalto, IL 62010, on Thursday June 6, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Burial services will be held directly after at Woodland Hill Cemetery, 370 6th Street, Wood River, IL 62024. Family & friends will be received at a reception immediately following the burial at the previous church location.
