Janice Linda (McNeal) Cox, age 65, of Granite City, Illinois passed away Sunday Feb. 12th at her home.

She was born on Oct. 15th, 1957 to Rayburn & Ruth (Umfress) McNeal in Dunklin County, Missouri.

Janice is preceded in death by her husband, Buford Cox. Her sisters: Virginia Faye Wartenbe, Dolly McNeal- Faughn, & niece: Angela Cox-Pearson.

She is survived by her son, Daniel McNeal, husband, Richard Hood, Sisters: Jane (Bill) Spencer, Betty Briggs of Poplar Bluff, Mo, Christine Woodruff of Branson, Mo, Dori McNeal (Debi Tidwell) & Frances McNeal of Murphysboro, IL; Brothers: Kenneth (Florence) McNeal of Galesburg, IL, Charles "Bub" McNeal, Douglas (Sarah McGuffin) McNeal, Thomas McNeal of Poplar Bluff, MO, George (Robert Cox) McNeal of Murphysboro, IL; as well as "All" of her wonderful nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews.

She was blessed to have so many friends throughout her life.

She graduated in 1975 from Twin Rivers High in Broseley, Mo. after which she worked at Florsheim Shoe Co. in Poplar Bluff, Mo., later moving to Granite City, IL working at various factories, Capri Sun, Sunshine Arts.

Janice "Loved" cooking for everyone! Her dinners & desserts were large & full of Love! If you asked her to bake you a cake she'd make you 2 or 3! Her Smile was sweet and welcoming to all that knew her. If ever you needed her help or a friend she was your gal! She kept her Love for God & Jesus Christ close to her heart, each & every day.

We will all miss her dearly.

The family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date.

Cremation services entrusted to Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory.
