Janetta D. La Rue, 54, of Granite City passed away Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville surrounded by her family.  She was born May 5, 1968 in Alton.  She married Scott La Rue on June 22, 1991 in Grace Baptist Church in Granite City and they created a beautiful life together, full of love and laughter.  Janetta worked for Brown & James P.C for over 30 years.  She belonged to the Women of the Moose.  Janetta always had an open door for anyone with open arms and no questions. She gave more to others than herself and was truly one of a kind.   She loved movie nights, snack nights, coffee with friends and antiquing.  She was quick witted and loved by many.

She is survived by her husband, Scott La Rue of Granite City; mother, Virginia (nee: Riti) Bowman of Dongola, daughter, Brittany (Zack) Wallace of Granite City, son,  Brandon La Rue of Murfreesboro, TN; grandson, Danny La Rue; brother, Michael Bowman of Granite City and father-in-law, Edward La Rue Sr of Granite City.

She was preceded in death by her father, Danny Bowman.
