James "Truck" A. Stennett, 78 of Granite City passed away Monday, June 2, 2025 at Cedar Ridge in Lebanon, IL.  He was born October 17, 1946 in East St. Louis to Herman and Marcella (nee: Dittmer) Stennett.  James is retired from American Steel where he worked as an electrician.  He married Sandra "Sandee" (nee: Bridger) Stennett November 29, 2003.

Truck enjoyed fishing, shooting, and watching the Food Network.  He was a master of dad jokes.

He is survived by his wife Sandee Stennett of Granite City; daughter, Dawn (Chris) Niebruegge of Sullivan, MO and Christie (Jason) Moyer of Collinsville; seven grandchildren, Nick, Zach, Chase, Paige, Payton, Olivia and Emmalee; 6 great grandchildren, Nichole, Nate, Jeff, Lillian, Spencer and Octavia; two brothers, Danny (Linda) Stennett of Tuscola and John (Jan) Stennett of Dittmer, MO and a sister, Debbie Scaggs of Collinsville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Tim Stennett.
