Garry Dale Sanders, 82, of Madison, IL passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025 at his home.

He was born on November 21, 1942 in Pontiac, MI to James and Thelma (Clark) Sanders.

Garry married Betty Agers in Granite City, IL on October 5, 1974.

The U.S. Army veteran loved to kayak and drive, no matter what type of vehicle. Garry was also an oil painter.  His greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Garry is survived by his wife, Betty; a daughter, Anna (Christopher) Mercer of Cuba, MO; a son, Cary (Valerie) Sanders of Carlyle, IL; 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren with one on the way and a brother, Ronald (Cathy) Sanders of Mission, TX.

Garry is preceded in death by his parents.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Hope Church, 664 Ashland Ave in Mitchell, IL.  Donations may be made to the family.
