Everett Paul Martin, Sr, 76, of Granite City, IL died on Friday, December 15, 2023 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

He was born on June 22, 1947 in Granite City, IL to Fred and Juanita (Jolly) Martin.

Everett married Sandra Rosado in Puerto Rico in January 1994.

The loving father and grandfather enjoyed watching television.  Everett served our country in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968.

Everett is survived by his wife; 4 daughters: Stacey Land of Ormond Beach, FL, Pamela (Trevor) Miller of Braidwood, IL, Elenora Brendel of Granite City and Kassandra Martin of Asheboro, NC; a son, Everett Paul Martin, Jr of Asheboro, NC; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 3 brothers:  Charles Martin of Granite City, Bert Martin of Peru, IL and Harold Dean Martin of Pawpaw, IL and a sister, Jewel Matyas of O'Fallon, IL.

Besides his parents, Everett is preceded in death by 5 brothers:  Ralph Martin, Orville Martin, Billy Martin Fred Martin and John Martin, 2 sisters:  Betty Martin and Rosie Martin and his grandparents: Fred Martin and Juanita (Jolly) Martin.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 1:00pm until 4:00pm at the Granite City Township Hall.
