Eric Scott Peery, 55, of Granite City, IL passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

He was born on February 8, 1971 in Belleville, IL to Edward Gail Peery, Sr and Judith (nee:  Williams) Dehart.

This loving son and father enjoyed riding motorcycles and fishing.  Eric was  very computer oriented,  as he loved gaming online with his spouse and family.  His greatest joy was spending time and being with his family.  Eric could always light up a room with his loud and obnoxious banter.  He was a baseball coach to young boys until they were young adults, being referred to as "coach" followed him for decades.  Eric was an avid animal lover who would rescue any kind.

Eric is survived by his mother; his significant other, Tarah Crook of Granite City; 2 daughters:  Staci (Eric) Ramirez of Fairmont City and Harley Peery of Granite City; 3 sons:  Dustyn Peery of Staunton, Aaron Peery of Maryville and Hunter Peery of Granite City and 5 grandchildren:  Billy, Chase, Liam Rowan and Willow.  Also surviving are 2 brothers:  Edward (Jianna) Peery, Jr of Lake Mary, FL and Joe (Amiee) Peery of Mexico, MO and 4 sisters:  Pam (Mingo) Garcia of Mexico, MO, Angel (David) Davis of Granite City, Peggy Peery of Mexico, MO and Beth (Keith) Favier of Belleville.

Eric was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Billy, in infancy.
