Eric Jay Maxwell, 58, of Granite City, IL passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, IL.

He was born on October 29, 1965 in Granite City, IL to James and Patricia (Howland) Maxwell.

Eric worked in the IT department at Gateway Regional Medical Center.

The loving brother is survived by 2 sisters:  Connie (Frank) Crook of Highland, IL and Gayla Maxwell of Granite City, IL; 7 Nephews:  Matthew, Nick, Jacob, Brady, Brandon, Camron and Cole; 3 nieces:  Ericka, Lindsey and Courtney and extended aunts, cousins,  great nieces, great nephews and his best friend since childhood, Bill.

Besides his parents, Eric is preceded in death by 2 brothers:  Scott Maxwell and Todd Maxwell and a sister, Robin Seley.

A memorial visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory in Granite City, IL.  Burial will be at a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
