Obituary

Dhananjay Champaklal Parikh

13 October 1953 – 22 September 2025

Born in Baroda to Champaklal and Sulochna Ben Parikh, Dhananjay was the youngest of four siblings and the only son. After completing his studies, he settled in Ahmedabad, where he met his future wife, Pragna Patel. The two were married in 1986 and welcomed their daughter, Janki, in 1987. He served the Government of Gujarat with dedication, retiring as Chief Architect at Sachivalay.

Dhananjay was a man of quiet strength, vibrant spirit, and a deep appreciation for life. Known for his humor and unwavering positivity, he believed in living life to the fullest. A passionate lover of Indian classical music, he was an accomplished harmonium player who found joy in both tradition and creativity.

In the last six years of his life, he divided his time between India and the United States, cherishing every moment spent with his two beloved grandchildren, Kiaan and Kiara. His days in the U.S. were filled with music, laughter, and meaningful connections—especially with his daughter Janki, son-in-law TJ, and a close circle of friends who made him feel at home abroad.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and a life well-lived. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
