David W. Ashby, 57, of Granite City, IL passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Evercare at University Nursing Home in Edwardsville, IL.

He was born on February 24, 1968 in East St. Louis, IL to Robert and Linda Sue (Schehl) Ashby.

The loving brother and nephew liked muscle cars and he enjoyed 80's music.

David is survived by a brother, Lane (Karen) Ashby of Palm Coast, FL; a sister, Marie (Jake) Whited of Granite City and an aunt, Sandra (Charles) Buford of Granite City.

Besides his parents, David is preceded in death by 2 uncles:  Michael Schehl and William Schehl, Jr.
