Darlene Witt, 82, of Granite City, IL died on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at her home.

She was born on November 14, 1941 in St. Louis, MO to Harold and Evelyn (Adams) Gray.

Darlene married Charles E. Witt, Sr in St. Louis, MO on November 26, 1957. He preceded her in death on April 9, 1978.

The loving mother and grandmother enjoyed spending time with her family.  Darlene spent time videotaping the family.  She enjoyed reading and learning about Israel.

Darlene is survived by 2 daughters:  Victoria (Johnny Gill) Witt of Granite City and Charlene Dapprich of Granite City; 2 sons:  Charles E. Witt, Jr of Cabool, MO and Jeffrey (Monica) Witt of Granite City; 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, Darlene is preceded in death by 2 sons:  John Witt and Robert Witt; a brother, David Gray and a sister, Mary Alice Gray.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory in Granite City, IL.  Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
