Dale Alan Clifton, 62, of Pontoon Beach, IL died on Monday, March 18, 2024 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.

He was born on July 16, 1961 in St. Louis, MO to Floyd and Jean (Gaehle) Clifton.

Dale married Deanna Stafford on November 16, 2012 in Edwardsville, IL.

The loving husband was a self- employed contractor.  He enjoyed working on lawn mowers.  Dale loved to help people and would go out of his way to do so.  He talked to everyone and never knew a stranger.

Besides his wife, Dale is survived by a daughter, Trisha Williams of Belleville, IL; a son, Gary Williams of Fairview Heights, IL; 2 grandchildren:  Jacob Cates and Josh Cates and a great grandchild, Everleigh Cates.  Also surviving are 2 brothers:  David (Becky) Clifton of Dallas, TX and Darin (Renee) Clifton of Webster Groves, MO; 3 sisters:  Diane (Mike) Obannon of Wildwood, MO, Donna (Jack) Gardner of Eureka, MO and Dana (Pat) Clark of Eureka, MO; a nephew, many nieces and many extended family members.

Dale is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory in Granite City, IL.  Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. on March 27, 2024 at Bethel Cemetery in Wildwood, MO.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Metro East Humane Society.
