Dakota James Gibson, infant son of Destiny Barido and Joseph Gibson, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.

Dakota is survived by his parents; paternal grandparents, Mary & Jeffrey Gibson; maternal grandmother, Shelly Smith; paternal great grandfather, Richard Taylor; maternal great grandfather, Carey Dressel; 4 aunts:  Brianna Gibson, KateLynn Gibson, Emma Gibson and Abigail Smith and an uncle, Tyler Gibson.

Dakota is preceded in death by paternal great grandmother, Suez Taylor and paternal great-great grandparents, Phyllis Gibson & Joseph Krusec and maternal great-great grandparents, Vickie & Edwin Deason.
