Carolynn Kay Powderly

Carolynn Kay Powderly, 59, of Madison, IL, passed away at 4:16 p.m. Tues. Nov. 3, 2026 at her home.

She was born Aug. 10, 1967 in St. Louis, MO to the late Marian E. (Ensor) Dunning and William J. Hancock.

Carolynn had been a certified bank auditor. She loved to shoot pool, fish, watch baseball and enjoy a good drink.

She is survived by a daughter, Tabitha Crossno of Verona, MO, a son, Alan Powderly of Harvel, IL, 3 grandchildren, Nevaeh Powderly, Alexandra Chandler and Thomas Crossno, a sister, Janet Cook of Crocker, MO, 2 brothers, Rusty Hancock of Madison, IL and Richard Dunning of Granite City, IL and her friend and companion, Robert Phegley also of Madison, IL.
