Berita Mae Campbell, 73, of Granite City, IL, passed away Sat. May 21, 2022 at her home while under hospice care.

She was born May 18, 1949 in Farrell, MS to the late Louise (Talley) Turner and Benjamin Campbell.

Berita retired as a supervisor from the U.S. Postal Service after 35 years.  She was a member of Galilee Central Baptist Church.

She is survived by 2 sons: John (Denise) Stepney of Berkeley, IL and Tyree Jackson of Chicago, IL; 6 grandchildren; was anxiously expecting  her first great-grandchild; 3 sisters; Florida (John) Sayles of Granite City, Marilyn Johnson of TX and Theresa Turner of Chicago; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son: Gregory Stepney; 2 brothers: Matthew Turner and Earl Talley; and 2 sisters: Shirley Borders and Vera Jean Goston.

Services with burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Hillside, IL will be at a later date.
