Barbara K. Winsel, 78, of Alton, IL passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at La Bella of Alton Nursing Center in Alton, IL.

She was born on January 4, 1947 in Wood River, IL to Roy and Velma (nee: Logsdon) McGhee.

The loving mother and grandmother was a CNA who worked for home health and nursing homes.  She enjoyed crocheting, quilts, reading books and playing video games.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Barbara is survived by 2 daughters:  Sherry (David) Brewer of Godfrey and Tammy Holiday of Granite City; 3 sons:  George Holiday of Granite City, Sammy Holiday of Granite City and Kenneth Holiday of Granite City; many grandchildren and great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Besides her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by a daughter, Donna K. Bryant; 2 brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory in Granite City, IL. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon, IL.
