Biography

Louis C. Rodgers, 65, of Granite City, IL, died at 10:05 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, IL.
He was born June 21, 1947 in Granite City, IL to the late Forrest Clifford Rodgers SR. and Josephine (nee: Vaccaro) Zilibotti.
The United States Navy veteran had worked at Gateway Regional Medical Center as a parking lot attendant, and loved making floral arrangements.
He is survived by four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Rose King, JoAnn & George Strubberg, and Doris Ragan all of Granite City, IL and Pam & Sonny Hankins, sister-in-law, Nina Rodgers both of Edwardsville, IL, four nieces, four nephews, good friend who visited him faithfully, Jo Bond of St. Louis, MO, caregiver, Eric Prothro, and his beloved dog, Sophie.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Forrest Clifford Rodgers Jr.
The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
