Life Legacy
Frank Ronald Ensor Sr., 66, of Granite City, IL, died at 11:00 p.m. Sat. July 7, 2012 at Granite City Nursing & Rehab in Granite City, IL.
He was born May 21, 1946 in Peoria, IL to the late Frank Karl & Elsie Altman (Buchanan) Ensor.
On Feb. 27, 1965, he and Rosemary Harrison were married in Edwardsville, IL. She survives in Granite City.
Mr. Ensor retired from Granite City Steel in 2009. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved his family and friends, going camping, fishing, playing pool and darts. He was a member of the Moose and was affiliated with Grace Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife of 47 years, he is survived by: a son and daughter-in-law, Frank R. Ensor Jr. and Staci Henn, a daughter and son-in-law, Grace & Isaiah Forehand Jr., all of Granite City, 4 grandchildren, Christopher Lee Thomas, Marc Forehand, Melissia Forehand and Felicia Forehand, 3 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters, Karlene Grubbs and Martha Castellini, both of Madison, IL.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marian Dunning.
It was Frank’s wishes that everyone who attends his visitation or funeral wear blue jeans and a Cardinal’s or Simpson’s t-shirt.
