Daniel P. Wojcikiewicz, Co-Owner
Dan was raised in the south suburbs of Chicago. His mother was a teacher and father worked for the phone company. He graduated from Marian Catholic High School in Chicago Heights and attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale where he received an Associate of Applied Science in Mortuary Science and a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management. Following graduation he took a position with Indiana Mortuary Service in Indianapolis as an embalmer where he received his Indiana Funeral Director and Embalmers License. Dan transferred his license through reciprocity to Illinois where he took a position at Elias-Smith Funeral Homes and Crematory located in Alton, Bethalto, and Godfrey. While employed there Dan received his Missouri Funeral Director License, Missouri Embalmers License, Illinois Insurance Producers License, Illinois Crematory Operator Certification and the Cremation Association of North America certification.
Dan married his wife, the former Stephanie Day in 2000. Stephanie grew up in Carlyle and comes from a funeral background as her grandfather; father, uncle and brother are all funeral directors. They currently operate Day Funeral Homes in Sandoval and Patoka, IL and in partnership operate Zieren- Day Funeral Home in Carlyle. Steph currently works as a social worker for the State of Missouri.
The couple has three boys, Isaac, Abraham and James.

Steven K. Lundstrom, Co-Owner
Steve grew up in Southern Illinois and graduated from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale’s Mortuary Science program. He began his career in Alton, working for the Elias-Smith Funeral Homes from 1995 to 2000. He then accepted a position with Gent Funeral Home from 2000 to 2007 until purchasing, renovating and re-opening the former Werner Chapel building as Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory with Dan Wojcikiewicz, whom he met while in College. The two men opened the funeral home with a desire to serve the community with affordable funeral and cremation services.
Steve served in the Illinois Army National Guard from 1990 to 1996 and currently serves as a reserve Deputy Coroner with the Madison County Coroner’s office. He is a past president of the Illinois Funeral Directors Association – District #15. Steve holds an Illinois and Missouri Funeral Director & Embalmers license, an Illinois Life Insurance Producers license and Crematory Operator certificate.
Steve and his wife, Teddi were married in 1994 and have one son, Ries. They are members of the Methodist Church.

Rhonda L. Hatfield - Funeral Director
Rhonda was born in Portsmouth, VA where her father spent most of his twenty years in the U. S Navy. Upon his retirement her father and mother returned to Southern Illinois, to raise their five children where they had grown up and their families still lived. She graduated from Cobden High School in Cobden, IL in 1980 and entered the U. S. Army after graduation, serving three years as a Military Police Officer. In 1991 she received her Associate Degree in Mortuary Science and Funeral Service from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL. She served as a Funeral Director and Embalmer from 1991 – 1994 at Metzler – Froelich Memorial Home in Bloomington, IL and from 1994 – 2007 at Irwin Chapel, P.C. in Granite City, IL. In September of 2007 she joined Dan and Steve at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory. Rhonda is the current president of the Granite City Kiwanis, were she enjoys the opportunity to serve the children and community in Granite City. She loves the simple things like visiting with family and friends, sitting on her patio having coffee and watching the birds and squirrels, growing flowers, working in her garden, traveling (anywhere), and of course being with her pets. In the future she would like to expand her skills in her hobbies of wood carving and photography. Rhonda is grateful for the opportunity to live in and be a part of Granite City.
